OK I'm going to level with you, its actually January and it took a while for me to get around to writing the post...
Sale #2 successfully executed and completed! By our (Margot's) estimates, we had over 800 transactions and close to/ over 3,000 items* purchased ranging from trash cans to couches to tutus. This year we were again in Dixon Hall under the gracious approval of Michael Batt (space is truly a premium during move-in weekend) but are beginning to feel the growing pains as we struggle to fit all of our inventory in the current space.
We learned, with the data to prove it, that people really like our mirrors but have almost no interest in the menagerie of plastic cups that we inevitably land up collecting each year.
We also were not able to move our sale forward to match the new, earlier move-in schedule, but still exceeded last year's sales, which was pretty exciting. Luckily, we have secured next year's sale space one day earlier to help accommodate students moving in earlier.
*estimates are on the low side as I personally could not get my head around our receipt system and many of my customer's items went unregistered
